Welcoming Vanessa Huerta as Our Newest Partner at gener8tor
We’re proud to announce that Vanessa Huerta has been named a Partner at gener8tor!
Vanessa’s journey to this moment reflects everything gener8tor stands for: Community-driven leadership, an unwavering belief in founders, and an ability to scale impact without ever losing heart. Since joining the gener8tor team in 2021, Vanessa has steadily built programs and ecosystems supporting founders from coast to coast, across rural communities, urban centers, and internationally as well.
A native of Mexico and longtime Denver resident, Vanessa brought a rich background in business development, community support, and education when she came to gener8tor. Whether leading gBETA programs across Colorado and beyond, or helping launch the Mexico Lightning Rounds initiative, Vanessa has shown time and again that entrepreneurial support can be both deeply personal and widely scalable.
What makes Vanessa stand out is her relentless care for founders. She listens, champions them, and follows through on her commitments. Founders see her as an ally and a guide, and colleagues trust her to lead with both clarity and kindness.
Personally, I look up to Vanessa as someone who can lead confidently and calmly during challenging times. (Which is nearly every day when you’re a startup working with startups!) The clarity, compassion and strategic insight she brings to each of these situations allows her to make tough decisions, but communicate and execute on them in a way that rallies the team together rather than rips it apart. This is exactly the kind of person you want in a leadership role, which is why we’re thrilled to be announcing this promotion that will allow her to do more of that across the company.
Vanessa grew quickly within the company, starting off as a gBETA Director and quickly being promoted to a Managing Director on that team. Now as Vice President of gBETA, Vanessa has helped redefine what inclusive entrepreneurship looks like on a national scale. Under her leadership, programs have launched in new communities to support over 1,400 startups, recruitment has become more intentional and representative, and gener8tor has grown stronger organizationally because of her influence.
Her promotion to Partner is a recognition of that leadership and a promise of what’s to come. We know Vanessa will continue to shape our work in ways that ensure more communities get the tools, capital, and connections they need to thrive.
Please join us in celebrating Vanessa Huerta, our newest Partner!
