It's Not Too Late to Learn AI: A gener8tor Skills Conversation with Jeremy Kleespies
AI can be learned by anyone, even if you feel late to the game.
In Episode 2 of our gener8tor Skills Impact Series, Anne Nadel sat down with Jeremy Kleespies, a 21-year active duty Army service member transitioning into the civilian workforce. Fresh off completing our Generative AI for Leaders program, Jeremy shared why learning AI is far more approachable than most people assume, and why the best way to get started is simply to start.
Jeremy joined the Skills Accelerator after a friend recommended it, and he immediately found the program accessible no matter your experience level. He talked about how the structure helped him build a real, resume-worthy use case: a master resume builder designed to help transitioning service members translate military experience into civilian language, identify comparable job titles, and uncover skills they often undervalue. The tool is built to be interactive and “human-in-the-loop,” using AI to ask better questions and pull out the details that are hard to remember when you’re staring at a blank document.
A few themes from the conversation:
You don’t need a technical background to start using AI effectively. Curiosity and consistency matter more than perfection.
AI is evolving so fast and becoming so intuitive that you can get up to speed quickly just by using it regularly.
With the right support and structure, AI can help you not only move faster, but see your own experience more clearly.
Jeremy’s mindset says it all: if you ever catch yourself thinking “I wonder if…”, you probably can.
