Why you should join the Skills Accelerator program in Wisconsin

gener8tor Skills is a virtual rapid skilling program for people looking for jobs in high-demand roles in their communities or working remotely for companies across the country. Founded in the Summer of 2020, the gener8tor Skills Accelerator was designed to help those who have lost jobs or are struggling to find employment as a result of the COVID crisis and ensuing economic downturn. gener8tor Skills graduates build their confidence alongside their technical knowledge in small cohort-based groups where they receive one-on-one support from career coaches to achieve their goals.

The program utilizes the LinkedIn Learning platform to provide high-quality instruction in fields ranging from Customer Service to Software Development. Participants earn LinkedIn Learning certificates and, in certain programs, have access to reduced fee exams to secure industry-recognized certifications. At a cost of $3,500, program participants will be invited to learn alongside other participants and gain valuable new skill sets for the digital economy. All learning is self-paced to fit any schedule.

 
 

Complete the training at your own pace over the five to ten-week program and get one-on-one career coaching and long-term job placement support from gener8tor staff. When you complete the training, you will have access to local and national companies ready to hire candidates just like you!

Complete the training at your own pace over the five to ten-week program.

As part of the gener8tor Skills program, you will receive one-on-one resume building and interview preparation assistance via individualized coaching from a gener8tor career coach. Participants will also have access to weekly webinars such as “How to Project Manage Your Job Search” to supplement their gener8tor Skills curriculum. At the end of the program, all participants will have the opportunity to participate in a Hiring Event where they will be connected to employers actively hiring in addition to long-term job placement support.

  • We’re quickly expanding to different locations across the country, check back often to see if we have a program in your area launching.

  • YES! All programming will be virtual to make sure you can progress your career in a format that works well for you. Some programs will have in-person events and opportunities available but won’t be a requirement for you to graduate.

  • Our goal is for all graduates to receive a new full-time job offer or promotion at your current company. The gener8tor team supports graduates long-term with job placement support to help you achieve your goals.

  • On average 70% of graduates receive a full-time job or promotion after graduating the program.
