gener8tor Founder Series Spotlight: Matt Dicou, Reset

Behind many impactful fintech startups is a founder with a clear mission and lived experience shaping their vision.

In this episode, Matt Dicou, Co-Founder and CEO of Reset, walks us through the experiences that inspired him to build a fintech helping credit unions offer Earned Wage Access and drive real financial impact for their members.

Matt’s motivation comes from growing up in a blue collar family and later leading the Earned Wage Access vertical at Visa. Today Reset is seed stage, already live with two credit unions, with a third launching before the end of this year.

Through the Curql Accelerate Powered by gener8tor program, Matt and his team gained direct access to credit union leaders, pressure tested their narrative, deepened partner relationships and ultimately won Best in Show at VentureTech. Shout out to our amazing partner, Curql, for making this program possible.

  • Matt’s biggest lesson for founders:

“Pick accelerators that truly accelerate your path to product market fit.”

  • Matt’s ask:

“If you know a credit union or community financial institution that wants to be more tech forward and drive member impact, I’d love an introduction.”

Matt’s approach is a reminder that meaningful innovation often starts with understanding the problem at a human level. For founders building in complex industries, his insights on focus, product-market fit, and ecosystem partnerships are especially relevant.
