gener8tor Cybersecurity offers a cutting-edge program in San Antonio, home to the second-largest concentration of cybersecurity experts in the United States. gener8tor Cybersecurity is housed within its partner company Geekdom, San Antonio’s premier collaborative startup community located in the heart of the downtown tech district, and gives startups the opportunity to gain traction for rapid growth in the dynamic tech ecosystem of the Alamo City.
gener8tor is a nationally ranked accelerator that invests in high-growth startups and supports the growth of these startups through its network of experienced mentors, technologists, corporate partners, angel investors and venture capitalists.
To date, gener8tor’s roughly 1,000 alumni have cumulatively raised more than $1.2B in follow-on financing.

San Antonio’s Leading Cybersecurity Ecosystem
San Antonio is a national leader in the cybersecurity industry. The city is home to government cybersecurity forces such as the Sixteenth Air Force and the NSA. It also offers a deep talent pool with the University of Texas San Antonio topping the list of best schools in the country for its cybersecurity program. Participants of gener8tor Cybersecurity will have the opportunity to join a rich ecosystem of successful cybersecurity companies experiencing exponential growth and acquisitions in the Alamo City.

Become a Mentor
Mentors are crucial to the success of gener8tor Cybersecurity. Once per week during the program, we invite a mentors to "speed network" with each of the participating startups over a two-hour session. There will be opportunities to mentor in-person or virtually so the teams can benefit from your expertise regardless of where you are located.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be dedicated full-time?
We encourage all founders to apply, though we appreciate your transparency about the time commitment you are able to make to your company during the interview process. We acknowledge that committing full-time to an early stage company is not a possibility for everyone. Our goal through this program is to help you secure the traction and funding to make going full-time a reality.
What does the selection process look like?
The selection process takes place over the course of one month. First, a diverse cross-section of our team will carefully review your written application. If you are selected for a first round interview, you will be invited to a 20-minute virtual call during which you’ll give us a high-level overview of your company, answer a few questions and ask a few questions of your own. About ⅓ of those companies will move on to the second round - also a virtual interview, but a bit longer and with more time for discussion. Final round interviews with the top 15-20 companies last for one hour and take place in person. The final round includes either a lunch or dinner opportunity to network with other applicants and our team in a more casual setting. A pitch deck is strongly encouraged for the first round, and required for the second and final rounds.
What are the investment terms?
Selected teams will receive a $100,000 investment in return for 7.5% equity in your company using a Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE).
What is gener8tor?
gener8tor is a nationally ranked accelerator that invests in high-growth startups. For each cohort, we invest $100K in each of five startups who receive a concierge experience during our 12-week accelerator program. gener8tor supports the growth of these startups through our network of experienced mentors, technologists, corporate partners, angel investors and venture capitalists.
Do I have to live in San Antonio to apply to the program?
Applications are welcome from startups headquartered anywhere in the world. You are expected to relocate to San Antonio for the duration of the program, in order to take full advantage of the cohort-based programming and the strength of the local ecosystem. Our team will make it as easy as possible for you to find affordable, short term housing!
Are any of the sessions virtual?
The entirety of this program will take place in person in San Antonio.
What does a typical week look like while in session?
Participants meet for weekly Lunch & Learns, weekly mentor meetings and twice-weekly 1:1 meetings to learn about topics such as market and competition, revenue models, how to pitch VCs and more.
What is the weekly time commitment?
Structured program activities are limited to 5-6 hours per week, however you are expected to be working full-time on your company outside of this programming.
