What is gener8tor?

gener8tor is a venture capital firm that recognizes the importance of building entire ecosystems of entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, employees and culture to bring about real change in the communities where we work.

How does gener8tor work?

We raise funds from investors who believe in us and see the success of our work. Then, we deploy resources in the form of educational programming, investment dollars and networking to improve the communities where we work, as well as gain returns on those original investments so we can grow and continue fulfilling our mission.

Where is gener8tor located?

gener8tor is headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, but we have programming in more than 30 locations across North America.

How do I get involved with gener8tor?
How long are the gener8tor programs?

That depends on the program!

Can I apply if I already have funding?

Yes, although if we are investing, our terms are always the same and non-negotiable. We'll discuss with you whether those terms make sense for you in your current situation.

Do I have to be in Wisconsin to participate?

What's the difference between Flagship and Venture Studio Programs??

gener8tor’s Flagship Accelerators are 12 week, investment-based programs for early-stage startups.

gener8tor’s Studio Accelerators are 16 week, investment-based programs focused on co-creating brand new startups with individual founders. In these programs, individuals apply to be the co-founder of a new company with support from gener8tor.

Do I have to live in a specific city to participate in a program?

It depends on the program. Not always!

How successful are the gener8tor graduates?

What's the high-level itinerary for a startup accelerator look like?

Participants meet for weekly Lunch & Learns, weekly mentor meetings and twice-weekly 1:1 meetings to learn about topics such as market and competition, revenue models, how to pitch VCs and more.

What attributes does gener8tor/gBETA look for in a Founder/founding team?

We look for that entrepreneurial spark and hustle, a willingness to learn and be coached, and a well-rounded and diverse founding team with relevant background experience. Bottom line, we look for overall good, honest, hardworking humans we can work hard with.
