About the Program

The Bronze Valley Investment Accelerator invests in up to five companies per year led by women entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs of color. In addition to a $100K investment, each participating startup will receive 12 weeks of concierge, mentorship-based programming.

The Bronze Valley Ecosystem

Bronze Valley employs a three-point approach comprised of funding, programming, and resources to carry out its mission to elevate diverse and female founders while simultaneously catalyzing economic growth within Alabama, its targeted region and beyond. First, as a nonprofit CDFI investor, Bronze Valley provides innovative, early-stage startups with strategic capital to accelerate their businesses. Bronze Valley focuses on supporting founders of color, female founders, and other underrepresented and underestimated groups.

The Bronze Valley VentureLab provides advisory services and intensive programming to people of color, female, and other underrepresented entrepreneurs to create pathways for their companies through ideation, investment, and scale through HBCU accelerator programs, one-on-one advising and support, and six-month accelerator programming that includes the Bronze Valley Investment Accelerator’s intensive three-month program.

What We’re Looking For

Applications are welcome from startups headquartered anywhere in the world. This is an industry-agnostic and business model-agnostic program. We are focused on investing in startups led by women entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs of color.

Passionate and Dedicated Founders

Solving the climate crises requires diverse experiences from the communities impacted most. We seek out marginalized founders from underrepresented geographies who may have been passed over by mainstream investors and accelerators. If you fit this bill, we urge you to apply.

Applications are welcome from startups with founders of color and/or female founders headquartered anywhere in the US and Canada and innovating in any industry.
Companies must relocate to Birmingham, AL for the duration of the program.
Program participation will be in-person in Birmingham, AL for the 12 week program.
$100K cash investment directly into your current round (if raising) or uncapped convertible bridge note to be converted into your next round (if not currently raising). This accelerator does not take a predetermined amount of equity upfront.
