About the Program

Bronze Valley and gener8tor joined forces in 2020 to provide accelerator programming. The Bronze Valley Investment Accelerators invest in up to ten companies each year across Alabama and Delaware.  Each company receives a $100,000 investment from Bronze Valley and participates in a 12-week, mentorship-driven accelerator designed to support company growth and prepare founders for institutional capital.

Founders can expect a highly hands-on experience, including:

  • Small cohorts of five companies, allowing for more 1:1 support

  • Up to 60+ targeted mentor introductions

  • Up to 30+ investor introductions

  • On-demand access to C-suite and operator expertise.

Eligibility Criteria the Bronze Valley Investment Accelerator

Based in the United States

All participating companies must be U.S-based and founded by U.S. citizens. The program focuses on supporting high-growth startups building and scaling within the United States.

Program Commitment

Founders must relocate full-time to either Birmingham, Alabama or Wilmington, Delaware for the duration of the program. Immersing yourself in the local ecosystem ensures you get the most value from our mentorship, network, and resources.

Open and Ready to Take Action

Founders are expected to participate fully, act on feedback, and maintain momentum throughout the program. This accelerator is best suited for teams prepared to make accelerated progress week over week and prioritize execution.

Coachability and Responsiveness

You’re coachable, open to feedback, and eager to learn from diverse perspectives. You value collaboration, respond quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

 

What Type of Startups Do We Look For?

  • Startups Primed for Growth

    Our accelerators are ideally suited for early-stage startups that have already launched a product or MVP and demonstrated early traction or revenue. These programs are designed to help you scale faster and successfully prepare for fundraising.

  • Industry-Agnostic

    The Bronze Valley Investment Accelerators are industry-agnostic, meaning we accept startups from nearly every sector. While we welcome applicants from any field, we are particularly excited about companies in verticals such as: Agtech, Biomanufacturing, Biotech, Climate Tech, Cleantech, Cybersecurity, Deep Tech, Education Tech, Fintech, Healthtech, Mobility, Software, Water Tech, and more.

  • Who This Isn’t For

    This program is focused on scalable technology startups and is not a fit for traditional brick-and-mortar stores or service businesses.

    If your company is pre-product or pre-MVP, you may be too early for this program, but we still encourage you to submit an application for consideration.

Who can apply?

Applications are welcome from startups with under-resourced founders headquartered anywhere in the US and innovating in any industry.

Are there any relocation requirements?

Companies must relocate to Birmingham, AL or Wilmington, DE for the duration of the program.

Can teams participate in-person, virtually, or hybrid?

Program participation will be in-person in Birmingham, AL or Wilmington, DE for the 12-week program.

What are the terms of the $100,000 investment?

Selected teams will receive a $100,000 investment in return for 5% equity in your company using a Simple Agreement for Future Equity (SAFE).
