Prosper HealthTech Accelerator Welcomes New Cohort of Healthcare Innovators to Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM, AL — June 2026 — The Prosper HealthTech Accelerator (PHTA), powered by gener8tor, announced its newest cohort of healthcare startups selected to participate in its nationally recognized accelerator program. Now in its fifth year, the Birmingham-based accelerator continues its mission of helping healthcare founders navigate one of the most complex industries by providing access to evidence generation, healthcare buyers, reimbursement pathways, compliance expertise, and pilot-to-scale support.
The Prosper HealthTech Accelerator launched on June 18 and runs through September 11. The high potential founders will receive $90,000 in investment and engage directly with healthcare providers, executives, operators, and experts to better understand workflows, adoption barriers, implementation realities, and opportunities for innovation.

Amanda Williams, Managing Director of the Prosper HealthTech Accelerator, said the program's goal is to help founders pressure-test assumptions through direct engagement with healthcare stakeholders. “These interactions provide the context and clarity needed to better understand workflows, priorities, adoption barriers, and where solutions can create meaningful value,” said Williams.

Through connections to local and national networks of healthcare leaders, mentors, customers, and investors, the program helps founders transform promising innovations into viable healthcare solutions. gener8tor’s partnership with Birmingham-based nonprofit partner Prosper has been a key factor in the success and sustainability of the accelerator. “Prosper was instrumental in launching the accelerator, recognizing Birmingham's unique strengths as a healthcare innovation hub. Their continued support has helped attract founders from across the country and build a long-term pipeline for healthcare innovation,” said Williams.
