gener8tor Founder Series Spotlight: Ajay Bam, Vyrill

In this episode, we’re featuring Ajay Bam, Co-Founder and CEO of Vyrill, a San Francisco based video commerce platform helping brands and retailers unlock the value of large scale video content. Vyrill enables companies to make videos searchable, moderate content efficiently, and create more personalized shopping experiences that drive both customer acquisition and revenue.

Ajay is a graduate of the gener8tor Madison program through our gener8tor Wisconsin Accelerator, where he found long term support that extended well beyond the program itself. Through gener8tor, he built meaningful relationships with investors and mentors, leading to multiple introductions and ongoing guidance that played a key role in shaping Vyrill’s growth trajectory. The experience provided not just early momentum, but a lasting network that continues to support the company today.

Since then, Vyrill has grown to work with over a hundred brands and retailers and has recently partnered with TikTok Shop to power video reviews at scale. What began as a video insights platform has evolved into a broader video commerce solution, reflecting both strong market timing and a deep understanding of customer needs.

  • Ajay’s perspective as a founder is grounded in a fundamental principle of building and selling:
“Every founder needs to know how to sell. It starts with truly understanding your customer’s business challenges before jumping to a solution.”

His current focus is on closing Vyrill’s seed round, with an open ask for introductions to angel investors, family offices, and early stage funds investing in AI, commerce tech, and deep tech.

  • Ajay’s journey highlights how long term relationships, consistent execution, and a deep understanding of customer problems can shape a company’s evolution. From early accelerator support to scaling alongside major partners like TikTok Shop, his story reflects the importance of staying close to the market while continuously adapting the product to meet real demand.
