The gener8tor Carbon Removal Accelerator supports early-stage startups pioneering new technologies that capture carbon, store carbon, utilize carbon and develop assets to support the CDR industry.

gener8tor is a nationally ranked accelerator that invests in high-growth startups and supports the growth of these startups through its network of experienced mentors, technologists, corporate partners, angel investors and venture capitalists. To date, gener8tor has run 250+ accelerator programs, supported 1300+ startups, which have gone on to raise over $2B in follow-on funding and created over 10K jobs. Our Carbon Removal Accelerator was initiated by the DOE EPIC Prize (for which we are currently finalists) through which we got feedback from 100+ CDR founders. This 12-week long hybrid accelerator builds up 12+ years of accelerator experience and the feedback from founders to develop a bespoke program. This program is furthered supported by Burns & McDonnell, an engineering and construction firm, Clean Air Task Force, a non-profit advocating for CDR startups, Chain Reaction innovation, startup fellowship program established by Argonne National Labs, Direct Air Capture Coalition, central hub for everyone working on DAC, Skylight Law, boutique firm focused on CDR transactions, Prairie Research Institute - Illinois Sustainable Technology Center, research organization exploring CDR solutions.

DOE EPIC Competition

This program is made possible through a DOE Competition for which gener8tor was selected as a semi-finalist. This program and the selected startups will get publicity and exposure to the broader DAC community through this competition.

Clean Air Task Force (CATF)

CATF will serve as an ongoing advisor in this program and bring expertise in economics, markets, technology, and recommendations on specific applications.

Burns & McDonnell (BMcD)

BMcD will serve as an ongoing EPC partner in this program and bring extensive project development and construction expertise to scale CDR technologies.

Prairie Research Institute (PRI)

PRI will serve as an ongoing technical partner in this program and provide technical development expertise and easier pathway to their DAC Hubs in Colorado, Illinois and Florida.

Individualized Coaching & Mentorship

Twelve weeks of individualized coaching and mentorship from the gener8tor team during bi-weekly, one-on-one meetings. One-on-one meetings with 100+ connections including serial entrepreneurs, industry experts and investors.
