gener8tor announces Managing Director for new HudsonAlpha AgTech Accelerator 

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Christopher Udall has been selected as the inaugural managing director of gener8tor’s HudsonAlpha AgTech Investment Accelerator. The program, in partnership with HudsonAlpha Institute of Biotechnology, is located at the HudsonAlpha research campus in Huntsville, Alabama with lofty aims to make Huntsville the global capital for agricultural technology innovations.

As managing director, Udall will lead the gener8tor HudsonAlpha AgTech Investment Accelerator in conjunction with HudsonAlpha as they cultivate the next wave of AgTech leaders and solutions globally. The gener8tor HudsonAlpha AgTech Accelerator will build on the unique offerings of HudsonAlpha’s Biotechnology research campus and the surrounding region to further attract and develop emerging AgTech startups from around the world.

gener8tor is a nationally ranked accelerator that invests in high growth startups and supports the growth of these startups through its network of experienced mentors, technologists, corporate partners, angel investors and venture capitalists in more than 35 communities. The gener8tor HudsonAlpha AgTech Accelerator is housed within HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology, one of America’s premier collaborative genomics research institutes located on the second largest research campus in the U.S. and adjacent to NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, giving startups the opportunity to gain traction for rapid growth in the historically disruptive tech ecosystem of the Rocket City. 

Udall brings nine years of experience in international program management, stakeholder engagement and startup growth strategy to gener8tor. Additionally, Udall is a former wheat farmer and a startup founder of an international non-governmental organization, where he continues to work at the intersection of culture, conflict, innovation and rural economic development. Udall is a 20 Under 40 Influential Entrepreneurs award winner, TEDx speaker and a third place U.S. national champion in Automated Manufacturing Technologies. He received his MBA from the University of Notre Dame and a certificate in Social Entrepreneurship at the University of Oxford. Udall will serve as the connector between the AgTech startup ecosystem and the broader gener8tor network and programming, and he welcomes all readers to get involved.

gener8tor HudsonAlpha AgTech Investment Accelerator is currently accepting applications. The 12-week program is held twice a year with a high level of individualized attention for participating companies. The program will launch September 8 with a program finish on December 2.
