Electrify Nevada Accelerator Powered by gener8tor Announces Fall 2025 Cohorts in Reno, Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS & RENO, Nev. - The Electrify Nevada Accelerator powered by gener8tor today announced the 11 startups selected for its Fall 2025 cohorts in Las Vegas and Reno.
The accelerator is a partnership among the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED), University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and global venture firm gener8tor to drive clean energy innovation and foster the growth of early-stage companies advancing battery storage, sustainable infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and circular economy technologies.
"Our office has been strategically positioning the Electrify Nevada Accelerator to strengthen both the NSF Engines and EDA Tech Hub initiatives in our state,” said Karsten Heise, GOED's senior director of strategic programs and innovation. "Nevada, through UNLV and DRI, is part of the first-ever awarded NSF Engine, the Futures Engine in the Southwest, and UNR leads both the EDA TechHub and the Recharge Nevada Initiative. We seek founders in the new energy-technology field, from advanced battery systems to new materials, to create and build their startup in Nevada and strengthen our innovation systems in these critical technologies for economic development impact and national security."
As part of the cohorts, participating startups receive mentorship, investment opportunities, and access to an international network of investors, researchers, and corporate partners. By bridging together two innovation hubs—Las Vegas and Reno—the program is positioning Nevada as a national leader in clean energy commercialization and workforce development.
“UNLV is proud to collaborate with gener8tor and GOED on this initiative that aligns perfectly with UNLV's economic development and diversification efforts,” added Zach Miles, Interim Vice President for Economic Development at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. “By supporting these startups, we’re helping to translate ideas into impactful innovations and creating hi-value jobs for our students and the citizens of Nevada.”

About the U.S. Economic Development Administration
The U.S. Economic Development Administration's investment policy is designed to establish a foundation for sustainable job growth and the building of durable regional economies throughout the United States. This foundation builds upon two key economic drivers - innovation and regional collaboration. Innovation is key to global competitiveness, new and better jobs, a resilient economy, and the attainment of national economic goals. Regional collaboration is essential for economic recovery because regions are the centers of competition in the new global economy and those that work together to leverage resources and use their strengths to overcome weaknesses will fare better than those that do not. EDA encourages its partners around the country to develop initiatives that advance new ideas and creative approaches to address rapidly evolving economic conditions.
